Stats

Everybody get 900 Background Points ( BGP ) totally and above minimum points 480 BGP to spend. We recommend that you spend most of them on Stats.

There is three groups of stats.

Main Stats - That is four stats about your physical and mental abilities on which other stat in the other groups are based on.

Secondary Stats - A more detailed physical or mental ability, which is based from a Base Stat.

Speed & Move Stat - Are based on two base stats and tell you how fast you are and how far you can move in one second.

Main Stats
The Main stats are Strength (ST), Dexterity (DX), Intelligent (IQ) and health (HT) is the main stats.

The other Stats and your skills is based in someway on this four stats.
So the decisions you do here will effect your character most. So spend the backgrounds points wisely after how you want your character to be.

When you get in to the stat page the stat will be set on 10. You can chance them between 7 and 15.
If you are new to this and not know how to choice then we recommend to put as much on IQ and secondary DX. Its the stats that effect most skills.

It is possible to increase both main stats and secondary stats later but this values is the hardest to increase and it can take time before it happen.

Strength (ST):
Strength measures physical power and bulk. high ST lets you dish out and absorb more damage in hand-to-hand combat. Any player will find ST useful for lifting and throwing things, moving quickly with a load.
Info about the damage bonus can be found in the combat section, here.
Cost: 10 BGP / level

Dexterity (DX)
Dexterity measures a combination of agility, coordination, and fine motor ability. It controls your basic ability at most athletic, fighting, and vehicle-operation skills, and at craft skills that call for a delicate touch. DX also helps determine Basic Speed (a measure of reaction time) and Basic Move (how fast you run)
Cost: 20 BGP / level

Intelligence (IQ)
Intelligence broadly measures brainpower, including creativity, intuition, memory, perception, reason, sanity, and willpower. It rules your basic ability with all “mental” skills – sciences, social interaction, etc. Any scientist, or gadgeteer needs a high IQ first of all. The secondary characteristics of Will and Perception are based on IQ.
Cost: 20 BGP / level

Health (HT)
Health measures energy and vitality. It represents stamina, resistance (to poison, disease, radiation, etc.), and basic “grit.” A high HT is good for anyone. HT determines Fatigue Points and helps determine Basic Speed and Basic Move.
Cost: 10 BGP / level

Secondary Stats
Its possible to increase or decrease each secondary stat or keep them at same value as its base skill.

Hitpoints (HP)

Basic Speed   /   Basic Move   /   Dodge

Basic Speed (BS)
( DX + HT ) / 4

Your Basic Speed is a measure of your reflexes and general physical quickness. It helps determine your moving speed (see Basic Move, below), your chance of dodging an attack, and the order in which you act in combat (a high Basic Speed will let you “out-react” your foes).

Min: 2 BS / Max: 9 BS
Max change: +/- 1 BS
Cost: 5 BP / 0,25 BS

Dodge
BS + 3

Dodge is the skill not be hit by an attack. Its not possible to increase dodge directly. It can only be done by increase on DX, HT and BS.
More about dodge you can read about in the combat section here.

Basic Move (BM)
BS

Your Basic Move is your ground speed in yards per second. This is how fast you can run – or roll, slither, etc. – without encumbrance (although you can go a little faster if you “sprint” in a straight line

Min: 1 BM / Max: 10 BM
Max change: +/- 4 BS
Cost: 5 BS / Yard (0,91 meter)
